Wife told me that I could get a new truck before she gets a new car since mine is older. Only have about 1500 left to pay on mine and she has no payment. I am looking at the F-150 because I am starting to tow a boat more often and I have a lot of hunting stuff and it would be nice to have the extra room. Questions I have are as follows. What would you consider high mileage? I have found some 07s with under 70,000 on them and they are priced right around 18-20. Does that seem high? It has to be an 07 or newer so I can get a better interest rate from my bank. Is there any advantage to getting newer than an 07-08? I am not abig fan of the new style tailgate with the lines in it but the rest of the truck looks bad ***. Just wanting some oppinions and if you think that price range is high or not?? Thanks for your input guys!!

I would get a newer one if your budget can afford it. You will get an even better interest rate and then it will have a higher resale value. If the tailgate is the only thing stopping you I say go for it.

$18-20,000 seems a little high but you could always try and get the price down. If you could get them down to like $16,000 on an '08 and maybe $5,000 for your truck you would be in pretty good shape.

Keep shopping and don't walk away with something you think is a good deal and not what you really want. You will regret it. Post some up that you like too and we can give you opinions that way.

Definitely shop around and get exactly what you want, no point in spending all that money for something that doesn't trip your trigger. When I was looking for a truck, I'd spend a Saturday driving around searching for dealers as some don't really advertise.

#1 to buying a car, dont buy the first truck you see. Very common mistake that us sales guys love.

as for pricing, couldnt tell ya. my 06 ranger with 50,000 miles is worth 7500 trade value, so when i see you guys getting 5K for an 01, i know its WAY different markets.

I looked up the trade value of my truck on kbb.com and it says it is worth 8000 trade in. I think that is a bit high so i would be happy getting 5k out of it. I am going to keep looking and hope I come across a super deal When I bought my 01 had 48000 miles on it and I paid 6800 for it. Not a thing wrong with it and it has run like a champ so far.

It's annoying when buying but at the same time it benefits me for selling.
