New mirrors for the F150!

Well after 6 months of ownership, Im finally tired of the Towing mirrors. I have a love/hate relationship with them. Love the looks and visibility of them but HATE parking with them at work and people about taking them off going down the road.

I park between two support poles at work and each and every morning, I have to roll window down, pull mirror in, then finish backing up. Aggravating!

mine is the white truck. see all the stupid poles....

So I worked out a deal with a buddy on here (01_ranger_4x4) and he is bought my towing mirrors and I bought with that money these mirrors:

I know chrome dont get you home, but it ties all the chrome together on my truck (step rails, LT Handles, and grill surround).

Im losing my puddle light capability on the towing mirrors, SOOOOO i ordered two of these off of ebay to compensate. I was going to mod them onto the bottom of the mirrors, BUT decided to put them on the bottom of my step rail instead :D

and here is the link for them if anyone is interested, not bad for $6 per light.

3/4" Grommet Mount White Clear Bullet LED light 55WC | eBay

more pics to come when I get all installed

I would never trade the tow mirrors I had for anything. They were the best investment I ever made.

Ugly.
I like the pull out ones (that what she said) on the super duties i have.
My favorite lange change tactic: give it a little jolt to the lane i want to change into, making the trailer get close to the line. Then once the people freak out and get out of the lane, move over.

I wouldn't blame you, towing mirrors are hard to see around at busy intersections with bikers and peds (not that I care, get in my way peds, I dare you) Hauling 35' gooseneck, 6 place enclosed deckover sled trailer and 16' enclosed trailer I have no issues with standard mirrors.

I wanna see the puddle lights wired up...do work!!!

its a reflector. Its getting painted satin black though. No, these are ebay ones, read good reviews on them. I tried to find someone to trade with. You would think as much as everyone on F150 forums want tow mirrors, they would have traded......

I had them posted for like a week. Free trade, no boot money or anything! But nothing still! I had a few hits for XLT mirrors, but I wanted white capped lariat or FX4 mirrors

I tried trading mine plus a little cash for any type of mirror before I traded it in and got no bites either on F150forum.com.

I can see why people may not have jumped to do a trade. Unless they were local and do a direct same day swap they would have had to drive their truck with no mirrors until you could send yours out and vise versa. Most dont have another vehicle to drive while their truck sits with no mirrors.

New mirrors are ON! Love the new look! I miss the visibility of the tow mirrors but I didnt have to do anything to pull in my parking space at work this morning!!!! The truck looks a little more balanced too as the towing mirrors were kinda gaudy on the truck.

The front little clear reflector is actually LED turn signals as well. I thought it was just a reflector when I bought them like OEM ones and I was gonna paint it black, but since its also a turn signal, Ill leave it alone :) Very happy with the new look

Another accidental de-mod was my front vanity plate. Wife backed up into the front of my truck the other day and messed the plate up (didnt hurt anything else), but now we are gonna have to get her car a new rear bumper and a dent pulled from her trunk lid FTL... But I like the new look with no front plate!
