well, i'm not 16 and this isn't the first set of tires i've mounted at home. I know better than to remove them at home.
When i get a set of tires that are large(er) i mount or have them mounted, put about 5 miles on them and then have them balanced. The road force wheel does not supply enough force to seat the tires on the rims if the are bigger or load range D or higher

I have owned several sets of Eagle Alloy wheels in the past and I have many friends who have owned them as well. I recently purchased a 2003 Ford F-150 and I was looking for a set of Eagle Alloy Type 100 wheels for it. I contacted Mike at the Lansing, Michigan office who told me these wheels were not available and I would have to call back every two weeks until these wheels became available. This in my opinion is very poor customer service. A more definite answer would have been appreciated. I kept him on the phone for almost 30 minutes to get him to check and see if he could figure out a date when they would be available but of course, he did not.
Not accepting this as answer, I continued to call around until I came in contact with Mike again, who told me these wheels were in Puerto Rico and he could not get them for me. I have a Spanish speaking friend who I had call the warehouse in San Juan, Puerto Rico and he was told that if I had an account with them, I could have the wheels shipped out.
I called Mike back who then gave me a phone number to a location in Florida that deals with importing and exporting of wheels. The guy I talked to did not sound too happy when I told him that Mike told me to call back every two weeks. He also did not sound too surprised that I was blown off by him. He said he would contact Mike and instruct him on how to proceed so I could get these wheels.
I contacted Mc Cormack Racing in Lincoln Park, Michigan where I planned to purchase the wheels from and have them mounted and balanced. I have dealt with Mc Cormack Racing many times with tires and wheels and always received great service. Mc Cormack Racing was to contact Mike to get the address to the Puerto Rico warehouse where I was to send UPS shipping labels to.
I called Mc Cormack the first time on Thursday, May 12 at around noon and they said they would contact Mike for the address. I called back at 6pm on Thursday and they had not heard from him. I called back to Mc Cormack on Friday and they called Eagle Alloy and did not get through to Mike. I called Eagle Alloy to speak to Mike on Saturday with no answer. I didn't expect an answer on Saturday but I figured it would be worth a try. On Monday, I contacted Mc Cormack and they still did not have an answer from Mike, but said they would call again. I contacted Mc Cormack on Tuesday to cancel my order for these wheels. I explained to Mc Cormack that I would seek an alternate source for the wheels since Eagle Alloy seems to longer want my business. The employees at Mc Cormack agreed that they have had bad experiences with Eagle Alloy and their poor customer service.
I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service your company offers. If the wheels that I want are at a warehouse in Puerto Rico, I should be able to contact an Eagle Alloy representative and acquire the wheels. I should not have to call the warehouse myself or have my Spanish speaking friend contact the warehouse because one of your employees does not want to or does not know how. Also, I should not have to call back 5 days in a row to get an answer. I should not have to beg to purchase wheels from your company and I will no longer be purchasing Eagle Alloy wheels for my vehicle or for my friends vehicles which I modify.
I don't expect a reply to this E-mail since I did not receive a response on my inquiry for these wheels last week. If you plan to keep customers that do not order "off the shelf" products, such as I, your customer service will need to improve. With the economy the way it is, you'd think your representatives would want to make a sale. I wasn't asking for a wheel that you do not manufacture. I offered the part number off the website and wanted to buy wheels. I didn't think it would be a big deal.

I don't know about short but that's defiantly a story HAHA. Sounds crappy, luckily I've never had to deal with Eagle Alloy personally as I made my purchase through Summit Racing. I'm surprised those wheels weren't in the US at all. They must be REALLY special order. Did you check with other sellers like 4wheelparts, Summit, and other wheel sites?

Truck sold
I sold my f-150 and went back to a ranger. I had a 1999 4x4 ranger and when it hit about 215k I started to worry about it not being dependable so I sold it had a few different trucks then got a 1997 f-150 and always have missed my 99 ranger so I found a deal on a 2001 Ranger 4x4 sold the f-150 and bought it.

use fabresse on the interior, it worked on spilled butter milk in mine! and stop all the gruming about us smokers! you bought it and it looks like a great truck , good luck, clean it and you;ll never know the smell was there.
Thanks. No updates right now. I have a rear slider to install in it, and it will get exhaust in the spring. Im currently building a 2001 Sportster 1200 and my Fairmont is in storage, so the truck is just transportation at the moment.
