I think its pretty ugly. Not a fan of standard cabs. Hate the visor

Would make a good work truck, thats about it.

All my opinion of course

Alright. I've heard they were pretty good motors. What kind of mileage would I be looking at with it? I like the visor. Just wish it was a short bed with the regular cab. I like the setup though that its V6 5spd 4wd.

Well I am gonna try and go look at it this weekend and see if I like it or not. The only thing I dont like is that it isnt extended cab but it has everything else I want. It should still have more room in it than my regular cab ranger. I'm 6'4" and 270 so the Ranger is starting to be to small for me.

I see. What kind of muffler do you think would sound good on it? If I would get it, it would have to be just a dumped exhaust for a while until i get money for duals.

What kind of mileage did you get? The motor has to have more power than my 2.5L but power isnt really why I am getting the truck. I'd get a V8 if I wanted a little more.

Well I decided that I dont want that truck. I dont want a regular cab. I had enough fun with the Ranger regular cab so I want extended. Here is the one I'm interested in. I like the body style better and its a good looking truck.

I enyy you for actually being able to find/buy that body style truck without rust. I live in the U.P. of michigan, hard to find this body style w/o rust and when you do find a rust free one, there's a ridiculous price tag on it.

I say jump on it NOW!

Update:

Went and looked at the truck today. I about jizzed in my pants. It looks absolutely amazing inside and out. I'm checking to see how much insurance is gonna be before I make him an offer. Hopefully I can buy this thing.

Anyone know what kind of mileage its gonna get? It has an axle code of 17 which I think is 3.31.

Looks like I'm stuck in the Ranger until I get out of college. I was gonna get my mom to buy it for me and I pay her back but I dont want to deal with her anymore.

4.2s are NOT great motors by any means. there wasnt a recall on it, but ford apparently had out a notice to all mechanics to check head gaskets and push rods (thinking thats what it was). reason ik this is bc my dad had one and the motor blew. he talked to ford in town and thats what they told them. place i used to work at had several 4.2s in their work trucks and the mechanic told me the same thing. that you have to keep an eye on them and fix them as soon as theres a problem. they also got crap for milage, my dads 2wd only got like 15-16 which is bad considering my old 350 v8 2wd gmc i had that was a 93 got the same if not better

Well I didnt get that truck. I really want to get an extended cab and I read the 4.2L's have alot of motor issues. I really want a '92-'96 F150 Extended cab 4x4. Just waiting for the exact truck I want. I may be in a little more of a hurry getting one though if they decide to total my truck.

Complete ****. My friend has a '94 ext. cab 150 with a 302 and it gets anywhere from 7-11 mpg in town (7 is when he's driving like an *** though) and about 14-16 highway. If it's got a 351 though, expect numbers to drop another mpg or two from the 302.

If you want a fullsize truck, decent gas mileage (for a fullsize), and reliability, wait for a '92-'96 F150 with a 300 I6 and a 5 speed to pop up. They are bullet proof. You're not gonna win any races, but they have pretty good low end power and hauling abilities.
