Do what I'm doing...try and save as much money as possible then get yourself a nice '95-'97 Powerstroke 250 or 350....can't go wrong there. Sure, it might have 150,000 + miles on it, but they go over 400k with no problem...jut check for oil leaks, turbo diesels (all, not just PSD's) like to drop oil everywhere.

Well I like the 300 better but cant find an extended cab 4x4 with it in '92-'96. Also, what kind of mileage would a power stoke in the gen get? It being 4x4.

Well kinda thinking about buying a '69 F100 again. I miss my truck from high school something terrible and my buddy has a fully loaded one. It has power steering, power brake, and a/c. Its a 302 auto. I would just keep the Ranger and have it as the fun truck/truck to use when I need to get something.

^ That truck doesnt look to bad.

He bought his truck or $400 and thats what I would give him. It has only 62,000 miles on it. Needs brake likes and probably new tires.

anwhere from 15-21 depending on driving style. The manual can add a mpg or two also. I guess you need to look at cost of ownership though too. Sure, you could get a 350 with a diesel, get 19 mpg, but maintenance costs are MUCH higher than that of a gasser. If I can't find myself a nice, cheap (those don't belong together) PSD, I'm acutally gonna settle for a 460. Wouldn't be my daily driver and maint. costs are low...actualy makes more sense than the diesel since I don't do heavy towing it will be driven 2 or 3 times a week.

...and yes, a 300 ext. cab F150 is VERY hard to find. But keep your eyes open, one will pop up.
