Eastern Catalyst Converters

Well if you ever need to replace you catalytic converter do not go with the eastern catalyst converters they are junk and don't stand behind there product. I replaced mine in May doe to a crack in the pipe where it bolted to the manifold; with in three months of replacing mine I started getting a rattling sound. After investigating the cause I noticed there was a weld on one of the new converter that was not complete and you could see the inside of converted was glowing and red when hot. I called them and they said this was doing to my truck running rich and not under warranty. I said my truck runs fine and if it was running rich it would never run hot enough to melt a weld. Well Wednesday , this week it came apart and truck would not run knew exactly what it was as it stopped rattling when I got the converters off the where pieces everywhere looked like threw a ceramic plate on the ground. Welded up the original pipe and reinstalled truck runs fine. So the $300 and some dollars I spent trying to do the right thing were like throwing the money out the window. So let this be a warning to all Eastern Catalyst does not stand behind there product.
