Last summer I was getting a steady 22mpg.
this winter with new tires.l, (Hair larger) I have been getting 16-19 mpg. Mostly city driving like a grandpa.
Done complete tune up. Fiberglass shell with 200lbs tools.
Is this normal??

Cold weather always drops fuel mileage. I'd check it again when the weather warms back up before you worry too much. My 2.3 was as bad as 15mpg this winter.

Depending on how much larger your tires are, will throw off the speedometer and odometer. You are actually traveling faster and farther than what your speedometer is showing you. Of course, the larger the tire size, the larger the difference will be. I'm not saying this may account for all the differences you are seeing but it is something to consider.

your correct i went from 225/70/15 to 235/75/15. This equates to %5 or about 1mpg less
May have figured out why I was getting poor mpg, came out to the truck this morning and found the fuel door and cap open along with all the neighbors. One said this has happened before to them. I didn’t notice the fuel gauge move. I don’t thing they got much from me.

Probably kids were just screwing with people, If your going to steal gas why would you let everyone know by leaving the gas caps off.
If it was theives they probably tried and gave up in frustration. Siphoning fuel from modern vehicles takes a bit of skill and finesse that your average meth head probably lacks.
either way go spend 20 bucks on a locking gas cap.

The other cars had there fuel doors prayed open. Major damage was done.
Yea no one would have known if they just put the caps pack on.
Locking gas caps can be ripped off by hand. I’m just Gona wire my dash cam to be recording 24/7

Get one of those big red HIV/AIDS support ribbon stickers and put it on your back window. Then rub your hands in ketchup and get hand and fingerprints all around the gas door...
problem solved.
