1986 ranger rebuild

1986 ranger rebuild
I have an 86 ranger that needs a complete rebuild. I’m figuring that I should just start at the ground up and do the brakes. Does anyone have any suggestion on doing disc brakes all around? Right now the cab is off the motor is out I’m looking for a 302 and a T5, hoping to keep it. Four-wheel-drive. I am a novice with some mechanical knowledge, but not a lot. It’s going to be a lot of learning. Any advice is welcome.
