My rangers third gear went out awhile ago and I’m getting ready to go to a junk yard and find a transmission for it. It’s an automatic and every junkyard I’ve called said they are hard to come by. I’m not too sure and I’ve looked some stuff up and I’m still kinda wishy washy about it but am I able to swap a Mazda truck transmission into my ranger? If so what years and what all info should I know about the Mazda to make sure that it will match with my ranger?

 

Looks like 1995 - 2001 is it, it will have to be from a Ranger or Mazda with a 2.3 or 2.5 4 cyl engine
