Im looking to replace my hail damaged hood and completely change my front end to the 06 look minus the bumper as Im thinking of having a custom one fabbed up,,
I know I need atleast the 04 Header Panel, 04 Hood, And an 06 Grille to do this but what else do I need as there seems to be alot of parts to choose from,, Im hoping that some of the parts will carry over from my 02 parts,,



1) Hood
2) Insulator
3) Front seal W/ac
4) Hinge Back
5) Latch
6) Release cable
7) Handle
8) Support rod
9) Support rod Clip
10) Striker

Im shopping around at junkyards but nothing yet, but when I do find the parts I need to know what parts I need and what parts can carry over from my old hood, anybody know what all I need?

1) Hood - Need $451.88
2) Insulator - Need $43.11
3) Front seal W/ac - Need $26.08
4) Hinge Back - my 02 hinges should work
5) Latch - Need? or will 02 latch work?
6) Release cable - 02 cable should work
7) Handle - wtf?
8) Support rod - 02 work?

3) Support bracket Center - Need $60.32 (It says there is a Side Right and Side Left brackets also, do I need these? $51.32each)

So im looking at about $900 plus paint and shipping costs,, hopefully I can find a wrecked white 04, 05, or 06 truck,,

 

Good luck finding a wrecked truck this early in production.

Email Kris with the part numbers you need and he can beat them majority of the time.

 

all i need is a wrecked 04, dont matter what trim, just the front needs to be in good condition, and with all the 04 xl delivery trucks around here, someone is bound to have wrecked one, maybe I could just go to pepboys and borrow a truck for awhile,,

 

Needed a 2002 grille and bumper. Dont care about style if it fits I'll take it

 

Never did the 06 conversion, just did an edge conversion.. most of the parts are already gone.. old thread too..
