Hi Everyone. My first post here. I'm seeking advice on a Ranger I'm thinking about purchasing. It's a one owner with all books and records. It was purchased new in Northern Ohio and has made a move down south with it's owner who has it for sale. It has 147,xxx miles on it. I'm very concerned with rust. The truck is in very good condition. There is noticeable rust on the suspension components which I viewed/ inspected today.

Can anyone please advise as to what particular areas I should be concerned with/ inspect closely. Would it be a good decision to take the vehicle to a shop/ mechanic to have it thoroughly inspected. The body is rust free.

I would take it to get an inspection as opposed to trusting yourself, unless you are a high level mechanic or expert I would recommend paying the 100 or 200 it takes to not **** away 3000 or more
