Solenoid
Solenoid
I have a 1992 Ford Ranger 4x4 xlt and I’m trying to get the truck running. I have no power to the solenoid. Trace the wire to the firewall were the wire had being chopped . My question is from the firewall were does the wire go to?
I hope someone can help 😎

None of the cut wires look like the right ones, is one of them Red with a Light Blue stripe?
What color is the wire at the starter solenoid?
Should be Red with a Light Blue stripe
In upper right of picture you can see the clutch switch and its wires
The Red/blue stripe wire on the lower end of connector comes from ignition switch and should have 12volts when key is turned to START
The Pink wire right next to it should run out to the starter solenoid, but..................it changes to a red/blue stripe wire at the firewall
So
Ignition switch-----(red/blue)--------clutch switch----------(pink)------------------/---------(red/blue)----------------------starter solenoid
Pull that clutch switch connector off the switch, put a jumper wire between red/blue and pink wires, turn key to START, if it starts then clutch pedal switch is bad.
If it doesn't start then test red/blue wire with volt meter, it should have 12v with key in START position
If it doesn't then you will need a new ignition switch, under the steering column
