01-06 will be the same(last i checked)

i would go with the Fabtech 2.5 suspension lift. with only a 2.3L i wouldn't run anything bigger then 31's and make sure you re-gear!!!

its basically for looks. im still in high school getting ready to graduate so i want it it be as cheap as possible but good quality. I was thinking like the 3" spindle kit in the front and a block and U-bolt kit for the back but i dont really know. im new to the truck lifting world so i need some help.

yeah a 3" spindle is going to be your best bet. As for the rear, blocks will be the cheapest, but if you want/can afford AALs (add a leafs) then go that route. With those you can fit any 31x10.5 tire under.

Since what your doing is jsut for looks, most any old spindle would work. But when you get into the jumping and really railing on it, you'll definately need to up grade...you DO NOT want a spindle busting on ya.

Dude get a spindle lift and a body lift and 35 inch tires. Then you get new gears in the back( a few hundred bucks). The girls will be all over ya.

No he can fit like 28s stock and 31s wth a lift. He has a XL, not an Edge or 4X4

nothings wrong...nobodys giving you a stait answer. The fabtech ones are fairly common on here and on RPS. Get them. They work well from what I hear. And 31s are just fine for your motor, you'll be sluggish, but with an eventual gear swap, you'll be able to run 33s with ease.

I'd hate to be an a -hole....but i've tried to fit 265/75R16s(smalled than 31s I believe) on my little brothers '01 2wd XL....DIDN'T fit. The tires we tried to fit were like 20%. Now on the rear it fit perfect. Now i've gotta ask, does your dad drive a super duty xl?? Because those come pretty much stock w/ 31s/32s.

My freind has an edge with 35's with NO LIFT, very minimal rubbing on sharp turns

we used to have somebody on here who had 32's stock on his XLT, i think the thing is that you need to have the stock rims/backspacing to do that.

with the 3" spindles i would run 31's(what i have). FYI i have the fabtech spindles and you will love the wider stance and how much handeling it gives you.

and edge can go 32's and sometimes 33's stock(depending how much lift you can squeeze out of the torsion bars).
sorry but 35's on stock edge, i call BS. Greg has 35's on his edge and that is with a 3" spindle lift

Yea...I don't think you can turn worth a **** with 35s stock height. Hell....probably no suspension travel at all with that truck. Now I understand on the rear you could go huge, but on the front....it's just not practical and in my opinion.....just plain stupid having 35s on a stock edge. I have seen 32x1150s on a heavily cranked bar'd xlt 4x4 and 33s on a stock xlt 4x4. but never a ranger edge stock with 35s.

Post a pic of this truck with the 35s stock...i think we'd all like to see that.
