2008 ranger sport 2wd

Hi there,
I have a pulsating or shudder in my steering when turning, like turning from stop to go. I have to go real slow, when I turn, to avoid my truck shuddering. Just wondering what I should check. Thanks

Have you checked your power steering fluid level? Also the shudder could be caused by a bad belt slipping or a failing belt tensioner

shudder in steering

Yes, the fluid level is ok. It must have been air in the lines, seems ok now. I saw a comment somewhere about various things people were trying. So, what I did was, drove the truck in tight small circles, hard to the left and hard to the right, while moving. The shudder is gone now, so I assume the problem was air in the lines.
I don't recall where I saw that fix, in one of my searches I think. Anyway, it seems to work.
thanks and have a good day.
