Not too sure about the US Ranger options, but on the Ford.ca site, there is a "FX4" package offered for the Sport only....not the XLT.

So basically you get a 4x4 Sport w/ the FX4 upgrade package. Guess they just wanted to reduce the number of trim levels down to 2. (XLT and Sport)

 

I was just going to say that Canadians still have access to the Holy Grail that is the FX4. : D

Maybe because of our "extreme" weather and climate?
