The driver side power window goes up and down OK, but it doesn't shut off at the bottom when going down, the mechanism wants to keep going. I can stop it by pulling up on the switch momentarily.

Can anyone offer any tips before I get into taking the inner panel off the door to troubleshoot this?

Replace the Master switch

Unfortunately, literally the whole power window system is inside that Master switch, micro-processor and all on/off functions.

Only external parts are a 30amp fuse and the accessory relay that powers the Master when key is on, neither of which could cause your problem.
