Icon4 2025 ranger wildtrak X ticking sound in rear of cabin

Hi everyone.... I've recently purchased a new ranger wildtrak X and after a few days of owning it ... I started getting a ticking sound, almsot sounds like metal flexing .. I can't reproduce the sound when it's stationary... I've stripped out the back of the cabin and can't find anything loose .. I've had a buddy drive while I try find the cause of the sound ... It sounds like it's coming from the rear left side of the cabin ... Possibly just outside of the cabin.. it's louder when I lift the bottom seat up ... If I'm driving slowly and sway side to side I can reproduce the sound occasionally.... It's very intermittent and not very consistent which possibly makes it more difficult to locate .. any suggestions or advice will be much appreciated... It's as if your pushing in a dent and it pops out again ... Very frustrating and driving me crazy ... Tic tic tic tic tic

All sorted

Yes the ford dealer did assist me .... it was the left rear body mount .... if you look under the vehicle its a beefy mount from body to chassis ....

What they said they did was take out the 2 bolts on eitehr side ... then over tighten the centre bolt .... then loosen it and put everything back to how ot was ... basically the bolt was hitting the cabin not too sure why but its sorted now... sometimes its something on the rear suspension

Good to know. I have a 2000 XLT extended cab. Since I am deaf in my left ear and have reduced hearing in my right ear (military issue) I doubt I’d hear that sound. So that’s why I always check brake pads regularly and pull rear drums to inspect every 6 months. I’ll have to go under my truck this Spring and give it a good visual check up. Thanks. Good Luck.
