89 Ranger Concept Ideas

As I continue piecing together my truck I'm looking to get into some offroading and I'd like to get your opinions on what I should do with my truck.

It's a Ford Ranger 4x4 Ext Cab XLT, stock 2.9L engine. (380,000KM on it, holy crap!)

I'm going to start looking into buying some boggers/large offroad wheels and a lift kit. What would you guys recommend?

I'm trying to get an image in my head before I go out buying the parts. I want the truck to look as badass as it sounds right now. :P

Just finished painting most of the interior. Need to buy a bit more paint but afterwords will have the black/red combo on the inside I was hoping for! :D

Anyhow. What would you recommend?

Looking for wheel-size/and lift size. I don't need anything huge, by any means. I'm just starting and I won't need anything massive, and I still drive it on the road so it has to be somewhat practical.

Lift and 31" tires would look good. Ford Bronco II, Ranger, Explorer parts, accessories, suspension, bumpers, engine performance

I like the 7th and the 9th trucks...http://www.jamesduff.com/scripts/bro...=ranger&page=4

Any recommendations? Can anyone tell me what kind of pricing I should be looking at?

I'm not familiar with what's best for that generation truck as far as lifts. I just think that's the look to go for.

What's the thing called that goes over and beyond the windshield (looks like cap off a hat) displayed in this picture?

Is it an aftermarket part, if so I'd like to buy one. :P Any ideas on how much they cost?
