94 ranger

Hey guys im new to the ranger comunity. im a sports car guy my self, but ive been wanting a ranger for quite sometime. i happend to stumble across one the other day. but i want your opinion whether to buy it or not. i found a 94 ranger 3.0 regular cab 4x4 5 speed. the truck ive always wanted. its got 145k on it body is in great shape no rust what so ever. the o nly thing is the clutch is blown. not a big deal to me because ive done many clutches in the past. its been sitting a few years he wants 300 for it. what do you guys think? is it worth it?

Sounds like a good deal to me. Even if this truck turns out to be a flop, it could provide parts for another truck. Either way I'd say get it.

I'd get that truck checked out really good, there could be many many problems besides the clutch. The money you spend fixing it could have gone towards a truck without problems. Things like: bad headgaskets, blown trans, etc.

If it's only the clutch, then go for it.

my dads a certified ford mechanic. we just checked it out, motors clean no leaky valve covers or anything like that. the power steering pump has a small leak but thats expected. i havent heard it run yet to be honest with you guys. it been sitting in the guys driveway for 3 years. one cab mount is bad. everything else is solid. the under cab looks like it just rolled off the showroom. interior good and stuff like that. he said the motor ran good when he stopped driving it no noises or anything. i asked about the tranny and if the 4wd worked he said he only used the 4wd in the winter and thats the tranny shifted real smooth. its been sitting for 3 years i hope the motor isnt seized. he did park it with a freshoil change. what you guys think go for it?
