I thought I could just pick up a slider window and swap it in. but when I got the junk yards I found that I could not figure out how to get it out without destroying the rest of the window or how to put it into my truck. And secrets to this?

I saw that the entire rear window would unbolt, but the slider itself is the part I could not figure out.

 

they told me i had to buy a whole window that i couldnt replace just my sliders

 

i had to replace the whole rear window on my 99'

 

You could go get one for 70 bucks from a Wrecking Yard and fix it that way.
