abs light on?

abs light on?

when your abs light is on, what could be the problem?

94 3.0 litre 4x4 extended cab

You ABS is malfunctioning.

No actually it could be a number of things, but the first I would check are fuses and the VSS.
Check the owner's manual for the fuse location, and the VSS is on the top of the "pumpkin" on the leading edge of the differential. I'm not sure about your year though...I'm sure someone will chime in soon....

its the speed sensor, should be located above the rear differential. You MIGHT even check if your truck has the big wiring harness below your drivers seat under the truck, it can accumulate water and cause the pins on the connector to not read like the should.. If you have one, pull it apart (there is a bolt that holds it tight) and if water pours out, there's ur problem. Clean it with electrical connector cleaner and put some dilectric grease on it.

well fixed the problem guys, the master cylinder was very low on fluid so i filled it up to the max line and the light hasnt been on since.
