I have a '96 4-banger XLT. It seems that the ABS no longer works, since it is fairly easy to lock up the rear wheels when the road is wet. The odd thing is, the ABS light comes on and then goes off at startup just as it should.

I would think typically if there were a problem with the ABS, the ABS light would stay on. That's what its there for, right?
