My 2002 Ford Ranger is accumulating acid buildup on the positive battery terminal. I was told that means I have an alternator problem. The truck charges fine. Do I need a voltage regulator or a complete alternator replacement?

 

Its a common thing. No you dont have Alternator problems...
Go to your local parts store and get these.
