Is it simple enough to drill into the frame and add these?

I do not have the cross member to add stock ones or the $$ to add front and rear hitchs.. lowered or lifted it would help to have incase I get the dumb!

I don't see why not, make sure to use Grade 8 hardware. What are the load rating of those hooks?

I have those on my truck in black, I just bolted them to the front frame and they have worked great for me, never had any problems with them.

where do you plan to put them? you cant do them in the front, atleast on a 99, because the frame rises above the valance and you will rip off the valance if you attach to the hooks and put any pressure on them.

1 on each side of the frame near where the rear bumper is bolted on, last time I got pulled out, I got pulled out by the bumper and I dont want to do that again

maybe 1 on each side of the frame where they can be reached in the front, if the valance comes off, Ill fix it.. not really planning on ever wheeling that hard..
