Advice needed on used 2011 ranger

Hi all. I'm new to the forum and looking for some advice/opinions. Im looking for a car and I happened upon this 2011 Ford Ranger Sport. I know next to nothing about trucks, but it looks like a good deal. It's got 130,000 miles on it. The owner replaced shocks, sway bars, ball joints and brakes. I'll link the ad at the bottom of the post. What I'm asking is, is this a good deal? How much life can I expect out of this thing? Thanks for the help!

A 10 year old Ranger from the "Salt Belt", I'd say NO.
But if it's close enough to you, it might be worth going and looking at.

I'd also pay a mechanic of your choice to inspect it.

Also it looks like all the sheet metal has been altered/replaced/modified for a "pre runner" look. Might mean it's been run hard, so no telling what it might need as far as repairs.
And, should you ever get in a fender bender you won't be able to use salvage yard parts...have to source similar to whats on there.
If suspension was modified it might have affected the traction control and other systems. And, if he had to replace the sway bars (unless to upgrade) then it's been run hard...sway bars don't normally need to be replaced...they don't bend or break easily.
I think he's low pricing it cause dealer won't give him bupkis on it for a trade because of what's been done. Ridiculous looking for a dependable daily driver...dealer couldn't give it away. He's got the hot's for a new truck and just wants to dump this as soon as he can.
I'm with Supercab...I'd pass and look for an unaltered truck.

The sway bar was an upgrade, not a repair. I am going to take it and get it looked at at a Ford dealership.

Should everything look good with the inspection. How long do you think this will last?

Your letting "it looks kinda cool" get in the way here. If you want to buy it as a second vehicle to take out and beat the hell out of offroad... maybe. Still to expensive for that. If your asking how long will it last you want a dependable daily. This truck will not be that anymore. It'll drive as long as you are willing to keep throwing money and parts at it. There are ALOT of rangers out there in way better shape to do what you want. Check Facebook marketplace. Look for one that looks like someone took care of it. Not one that had to have the front end replaced because someone drove the hell out if it.

I just bought this 2011 Ranger Sport 4x4. It's well maintained and has made me more than confident that it will last a while. I just wanted to show you what you could get and appreciate.

Nice! I'm actually looking for a set of those rims for my 07. I think you will be way happier with that one.
