almost flipped the truck

for any of yal who have been out to marble falls... the turn from 71 onto 281 is where this event happened...
it was just misting when i was driving to work out there, the oils from the road came to the top, but not enough water to wash em away.
i was comming into that turn and the rear end just broke loose, and i counter steered it and eased into the brakes just a tad to slow the tires, i when off into the ditch and then it 180* and slid across the grass, the rear tires started to drop off into the drainage ditch, and when they came up the other side, it thru the drivers side tires in the air while still sliding...
i finnaly came to a complete stop ya... i did about 5mph under the speed limit the rest of the day...

Wow...it sounds to me like you guys need to grow up and drive a little more respectfully. Fast driving is meant for the track and strip. If you have an family or friends, you should drive so you'll be there tomorrow....ya know?

Wow where did you come from, you damned loser? It plainly states the road conditions were dangerous, which meant he should have been doing the speed limit at the VERY MOST.

It also plainly states he drove 5mph UNDER the speed limit after the incident occurred, further proving my point he entered the turn too fast!

How about you shut the hell up, now.

the thing is a road that has oil or tar coming to the surface is going to be slick no matter what your speed is. when i wrecked there were also 2 others in the same stretch, so you mean to tell me they were all speeding or driving wrecklessly. so tell me if you are walking not running on an oil slick can you still fall, this is the same thing.

There a big difference in driving safely and driving normally. (fast, for most of us)

If wet, oily conditions, I follow the speed limits at the most! I've had that back end swing around me on occasion too, and I've always told myself I better never let it happen at high-speed.

I do agree that most things like this happen because of unsafe speeds. But this thing is sometimes even if you are driving on the defense, it may not help. An uneven road that is slick on a turn, i don't care who you are or what your driving, if all goes wrong your done. Speed is not always at fault.

since you said "you guys" i assume you were also talking to me, i was going under the speed limit (35mph). Or were you stereotyping the general teenage driver?
