Another Ranger a Victim of Theft

Well So i woke up this morning to rain instead of Snow and i went out to my truck to that it was unlocked and everything had been rummaged through. Things among the missing Ipod Classic and Pioneer Connect cord. and GPS as far as i can tell that was it. I find myself extremely lucky. The radio was still there, along with the sub and amp. My $1000 camera was still in the back.

From now on Nothing of value shall be left in my truck and its time for an alarm and a very loud speaker for the alarm.

Damn i pissed right now....

Damn a$$hats! That sucks! I'm going to invest in a good alarm system so I can hear it go off if someone breaks into my truck!

When i told the cop what they left she goes damn your lucky....

Also i found the Serial #s on my computer from when i had them last hooked up to it so they can register them into there database for pawnshops.
In VA pawn shops are required to register Serial #s and IDs and SSN of people pawning stuff. So maybe just maybe it will appear at a pawn shop so i can get my stuff back

if someone wants to get into your glove box they'll do it. The ranger is about as bad as a Jeep on security.

My truck was broken into twice this year. First time they broke my window to steal what they thought was a GPS unit. Recently they popped the lock the Ford fail way and stole sunglasses and a bottle of cologne. Both times the sub and amp were left in place. I never leave my stereo face or ipod in my truck because I know those would be gone.

Dam dude that sucks, i would recommend a Viper alarm system a little pricey but well worth the investment. I bought one boxing day last year and it has saved me on a few occasions. Oh and the siren is veery loud and goes through a few different sounds to scare the shat out of those petty thieves lol.

It obviously it wasent anyone who owns a ranger cause there was a set of brand new 06+ tails on the front seat untouched too... And a CB untouched and the radio left alone they stole just enough that it doent meet my deductible.

The Cop also said that i shouldnt have touched anything cause they could have printed the inside around the radio since they had to remove the radio to ****** the cord for the ipod cause i had it ran thru the dash

But figures when i lived at my moms house which is high crime the vehicle was never touched but out in near suburbia things disappear

^^ Sounds like a dumb kid did it. They only stole what THEY felt was worth something. They have no use or understanding what 06 tails are and what a CB radio does. The Ipod was gold to them.

Sorry to hear about it though. Kind makes you wish you could catch them in the act. Nothing a good door slam on their hand wouldn't fix. It's hard to explain that you got your hand smashed in a door by the guy who caught you breaking into his vehicle.

Sucks to hear that man. I had my old Jeep Cherokee broken into. All they took was a cheap digital camera, my cds, and a rental snowboard that was beat to hell and back(took snowboarding classes in the short time I was at collage) but they left my $400 winter jacket and the rental snowboarding boots.

I guess thats one thing I enjoy about living in small town ks. Where I live its still one of those places you can leave the doors unlocked, and the keys in the ignition if you want. I don't do it but it gonna be safe 99.999999% of the time. I'm not a gambler so I don't risk it.

Where in Norfolk was your truck? I live in Norfolk as well. Sorry about the losses. I had a truck broke into at NORSHIPCO about 5 years ago. The feeling sucks.

I have never been broken into, but I think its because I have the antennas by the mirror left from a viper from the old owner, so anyone who is familiar thinks I have one.

It was actually parked at my girl friends house out in Great Bridge. The place in Norfolk i live (sorta) is near Chesapeake Blvd and Robin Hood rd.

Yeah its more of a slap in the face and the feeling of being violated that sucks.

Oh and earlier when i went to best buy i noticed they took the cord for my radar detector (but left the Detector in the Console) as well as the triple power point splitter and the Universal Plug i had spliced to use the CB Radio...

You're lucky.

I've had my Ranger broken into before, and they seriously left all my big tools and took a small box of drill bits, a bunch of receipts (none of which had any kind of identification on them since I payed with cash), and a chisel. They even left my tool box open.
