Yeah a lot of guys got that and took it in to get fixed. A lot of dealerships didn't have the part on hand so they disconnected the cruise control until the part came in.

All they do is just undo a couple connections and plug in a new section thats fused. It takes them like 5 minutes and it doesnt cost a thing.

Mine took like 4 hours and I was really mad about it, and they zip-tied the extra connector crap to my throttle cable, which seemed kinda dumb. Not that it hurts anything, i just would have tried a bit harder.

Since I'm not the first owner of my truck how can I tell if the problem has been fixed on my truck?

Wow they sent that out late. Yea they didnt have the part in when I went to get it fixed, so they just disconnected the cruise control. About 6 months later they had the part lol. I was pretty pissed.

yea...i never got a letter....went into the dealer they unplugged it....stopped back in 6months later and they had a good supply of the recall of the recall fix parts and they put on the resister.

just go in, have it taken care of.

this recall like like 2years old. it's actually a recall of a prior recall...the 'fix' was faulty the frist go round. lol.

Go to Rich Ford in Archbold. They had mine done in less that 5 minutes. Quick, painless, and can keep your truck from catching fire.

I wonder if my truck has it done to it. Is there anything that I could look at and tell if they did it?

it is a fuse that is wired into the harness for the cruise control which is located near the brake fluid reservoir. basically, the truck catches on fire when the reservoir leaks and starts an electrical fire under the hood of the truck. then you go open the hood to see what the problem is and **BLAM** truck on fire!!
