Ford oval

Now that I finally put my new billet grille on, I want to add a smaller Ford oval to it. Maybe one from an Escort trunk lid or something from the salvage yard. The one from my original grille looks too big for my tastes. The question is: I tried to put the one from my original grill on just to check it out, but the threads aren't long enough to reach through the grille to put the nuts on it. What do you all use to solve this problem? Thanks.

I would like to add the billet black ford ovals like I had on my F-150 but for the life of me I can't find or remember where I bought them.

I found a guy that made them not too long ago but the prices were outragous, over $100 for each. I think I'll stick with blue!

especially when you can change color on your own...is your old Ford emblem the rubbery one? If so what do you want for it after you change yours to smaller?

I dunno about "rubbery", its hard plastic and is what came of my stock '03 XLT grille. I still need to know how to mount one to my billet grille though.
