From Automatic To Manual Transmission

Howdy!
Since it looks like I will be replacing my transmission soon, I would really rather have a manual instead of the automatic it came with. How hard it this to do? Or will it be easier just to replace the automatic with another automatic?
.
...Thanks...

Ive done this swap. Basically you need the trans, you need the clutch pedal for that year ranger, the master cylinder, slave cylinder, the line, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, shifter, And computer for a 5 speed. You can dodge the computer by leaving your range sensor in neutral and plugged in. Odds are you will have to unless your harness can unplug the trans part. Its a bolt in swap but you have to do some playing around with stuff. Clutch pedal and bleeding the slave cylinder was the worst part of mine
