Axle/hub leakage! help!

3 Attachment(s)
Ok. so i bought my truck used and about a week or two after i bought it i started having problems with the front right wheel. i brought it back to have it serviced and they said it was the hub nut not properly tightened down. they replaced the washer and tightened it down to spec.

Now, about 3 months later im having the same problem again. while i was checking it out i happened to notice oil on the bottom right front side of my truck. i traced it back to this.

What is the technical name of the seal that is broken/leaking? and could it be caused from the hub being loose?

If so, im gonna tell them they need to fix that two.

just for reference i took the picture under the truck facing forward. and you are looking at the front right.

the front axle is leaking were the cv shaft comes out and goes to the knuckle.

yea, thats a front axle seal. I'd have to look but it almost looks like the CV shaft isn't all the way in...

Yep, looks to me like the axle shaft isn't all the way in either. Need to take a prybar, and pry it into place using the torsion bar and a small tab or groove on the cv joint. Should hear/feel it "pop" back into place.
