hey I was watching SPIKEtv and that police chase show was on. It's always cool to watch people "try" and get away (though they never air the ones that do!). The one before was a pontiac that flew across the freeway and did a 180 from a simple lane change, that can't be all driver error..

But then they showed a clip of a brand new B4000 getting pulled over, and then they realized it was stolen from the dealer's lot 2 hours before.. so he speeds the hell outta there and the cop follows.. and then he starts making his own roads around everything and the announcer is like "with it's raised suspension and heavy duty skid plates, offroading was no problem for it" and the cop was still struggling to follow but he was getting further back until they cut back on the road.. then the cop tried to ram him, well I guess the driver didn't like that cuz he hit the gas and was GONE, he was pullin on the cop so bad.. the cop even admitted it and called for backup. At the next intersection the truck tried to brake and turn and ended up nailing a tree. Driver got 6 months..

It's nice to know these trucks can hold up in hot pursuit though! I wanna make it on that show someday, y'all watch out for me! Wait, no I don't want to make the show.. I want to be one of the few they don't put on tv.. yeah, that's it!

I seriously doubt a mazda b4000 is gonna pull on a cop car...maybe that cop just didn't wanna go too fast.

That one where they spun the mustang was badass! I wish I could have seen the B4000 though.

 

Crown Vics are not exactly fast cars. Late model P71s only put out something like 230 HP, and they are heavy cars.

 

Yep, they do like mid 16s in the 1/4....

So a 4.0 Ranger should take 'em.....

haha, well, i dont run anymore...i go the speed limit and if the cop gves me the blue lights, i'd pull over

but in my younger racing days, i'd take my chevy out on the town and race anything i could...i got away from 2 cop cars chaseing me one night, after that i've gone the speed limit...

 

I saw one where the truck (can't remember if it was mazda or ford) had a drunk driving it and the dumbass had his wife and kid in the truck. After blowing the tires out he finally stopped.

 

Thats a cool show, I catch it every now and then. Never saw a ranger or mazda on it before.

 

I remember one that was really bad this drunk guy was running from the cops I guess he was going to his house and he got in a head on collision with his wife and kids who were going to the store.
