to tool box or not to toolbox, that is the question

found this on craigslist (http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/pts/180722665.html)

i think i will get it but i'm still not sure, so its your job to help push me to do it.

for the people that have tool boxes... any complaints? anything i need to know? does it block the view in the back too much?

thanks

i like tool boxes but not that one. it sits to high up on the window. if you get one get a low profile one. just my $0.02.

Get one like mine, It is a Delta Low profile box. I think it was just over $200 installed. I love mine because it does not block my view and I have a ton of stuff in there. The down side is you loose some bed space.

I don't like the box you have pictured, It is very shallow and it takes up alot of the back window, it's to tall imo.

I never new how much junk i needed with me until i got one. from extra fluids to tools recovery gear and even football pads it holds it all i love it but if you haul stuff alot i wouldnt recommend it. The rangers already have a small bed and you subtract atleast another foot and a half. but mine is perfect for my needs and i think it makes the ranger look a little bigger as well.

and as far as it being too tall, i thought about that, but i dont really care too much about how it looks, more about how it functions. If its too tall where its hard to see or reduces any visibility i will consider other boxes, but for the price, this one will do very well.

i can get measurements but you have a style side.

i know it's called a 42" tool chest. it's 42" wide. i can get the length and depth if you need.

My box is a life saver, I hate transporting alcohol in the cab just in case. I've got alot of "just in case's" in my tool box that I don't want wet in the bed or stinking up the cab.

just don't cheap out on it, you get what you pay for
