Hey testing my luck if anyone can please help me!
i have a 89 2.9L Cologne v6 ford ranger.. bad PCV valve and i cannot seem to find correct information on the genuine oem part number or best closest option up to oem specs, even chat gpt couldn’t really give me a correct answer, since these models like to build oil sludge i want to make sure i get the right pcv valve to get correct vaccum pressure for crankcase ventilation.. im not sure if the guy who had it before me changed the valve to one that ain’t oem so don’t really trust going off from the one on it right now, please let me know any information would be a help thanks
from what i found tho V218 is more of a universal option.. sometimes it says it’s for V8 engines.. witch would have different crankcase pressure than my 2.9 v6. over at rock auto and someone on facebook tho says EV-118 is the one for it.. these old rangers are starting to be hard to find the right info on them🤯
Some parts can and do cross different models. The V218 is simple a aftermarket version of the EV118. The EV118's are out there but they are expensive. Good luck with whatever you decide to use
