Ball Joint Press, its cold outside help
I rented on of those balljoint press'es from autozone and finally figured out how to use it.
The only problem Im having is not having the power to crank the balljoint all the way in. Its stard and about 1/3 in. What am I doing wrong? Do i need to wack it with a hammer?

It wont.
The press kit I used had a large cup with a section cut out. That ended up being the one that kept everything inline.
Impact is the tool to use. Maybe you can rent an electric one.

I had the shop light heat up the a-arm, and put the balljoint in the freezer, then cleaned the hole with a steel-cloth, and hammered it in using the old balljoint's bolt so I would not ruin the new one,, tried using the jack to push it in but ended up almost dropping the truck off the jack stands.. big ol 5lb hammer works.. thats for the lower ones though, no idea on the uppers
