Bamachips X3 doesn't work
So i got my Bamachips X3 tuner today finally... yea it only took three weeks... and the freaking thing doesn't even work. I plug it into the OBD II port and nothing happens. i try to update the contraption on the PC and at least it lights up and i can see all the cool things its supposed to do. So then i hook it up to a laptop and a the OBD II port. I get as far as selecting a tune and hit select then it says Error Low Vpp. I thought oh low voltage power present....so i hook a extra battery up to the truck...nothing. I can't even read DTC's or anything. Can't read the Strategy code so idk if the contraption is even made for my truck. I looked on the SCT website and it has all the latest software on it. The disc that is supposed to enable you to download new tunes for it doesn't work either. Says the device can't be found. I have e-mailed Doug at Bamachips about this $400+ POS just now but he won't get back to me til tommorrow. Does anybody here have any ideas?

Ok it was the fuse that was blown...good call. This thing is kinda stupid tho. I can't say i really noticed a difference. I adjusted the idle speed in drive up to 1304 rpm and down to 504 rpm and both times the idle speed sounded the same and stayed at 1050 rpm on the tach. Then i put the speed limiter at 35 mph and i sure as heck could go faster than 35.

I've never played with the idle or speed limiters so I can't comment on those. But the biggest difference I've noticed is when running the 93 torque or performance vs. stock. When the timing is changed with the higher octane tunes is when I can tell a difference on mine. What tunes did you get?

Dude. relax a little. You've badmouthed doug cause YOU had a blown fuse. You've badmouthed cause it took 3 weeks? Didn't you make a post before and said his website said 2 weeks to ship? 1 week transit time is nothing to get your pantys in a wad about. Just relax and get familiar with the tuner.
If you don;t think you noticed a difference you have two easy choices
1. spend $75 for a dyno run before and after
2. spend $20 for a test n tune night at a drag strip. Run with and without a tune.
Either of those will undoubtedly show that you gained HP and Torque. I don't know what else to say.
