My friend bought a taco and its a pretty sick truck....The four door 4x4 have a sick stance to them.... So far he has said its a good truck... If they keep or get rid of the ranger line oh well.... Ill be stocked to see it stay and what they have in store for it... or if they introduce the F-100 that would be sick also.... But I really want to see that new bronco put into play

Awww. But I wanted a V8 4 door Ranger cuz they were going to make it. But since I bought a Ranger in the first place I probably couldn't afford a 4door V8 Ranger.

I'm not sad to see it go. Ranger, GTFO!!

The only thing I'd make sure is that the front grille is colour matched and NOT chrome........*shutters* I really really do not like chrome.
i can sort of agree with the middle one... except that it still doesn't take it to the extent that the stock ranger is at IMO... it could be done much better...

canyons and colarados are pretty well identical, other than interior and maybe a strip of chrome somewhere... one's gmc one's chevy

I dont really care what they do with the ranger either. Ive got mine, and the new one wont be big enough to support my needs, the 150 barely is now.

i wouldnt own a colorado/canyon, or any GM product for that matter. ive worked at a car lot, and even owned a Z71 at one time and i must say that the interior feels cheap as hell compared to my f150 and other fords... my boss has a 2006 duramax and the interior pieces like the door panels and window/lock switches feel like thin crappy plastic. the leather cracks FAST, the 06 dmax already is. i can only speak for pre 07, not sure on the newer styles. and ik all leather cracks, but my 150 looks and feels like a different leather. its not the slick/smooth/shiney leather most leather seats used to be and hasnt even started cracking yet. its like a textured leather and ive seen the 04-08 BS w/ both leathers. i think it was 04-05 had smooth and after that was textured. maybe brian can speak up about this. and idk what your talkin about w/ the taco havin a ****ty interior, all the ones ive been in have been pretty nice. even the somewhat older ones. but Ford by far builds a better product than any other american car manufacture IMHO

I have a V8 ranger... Im happy for what i need it for. If they discontinued it then oh well. I drove a 93 ford thunderbird when i first got a car and they discontinued that. It didnt change my life one bit.

If you arent happy with your truck, buy a new one and spare everyone on this site. If you dont have the money to buy another vehicle then tough, deal with it :-D

If they would have advertised it more and put some options on them they would have sold better when i got my 08 options were as such

you got one or the other(NO B4000 4x2,B2300 supercab ect.)
B4000 supercab 4.0l 4x4
B2300 singlecab 2.3l 4x2

Options
A/C
5 speed or auto trans
SE package- including foglight and power group (only avalible on the B4000)
Tow Package
and like 4 colors to chose from white, black, grey and i think red
and then a few dealer added accessories
Niether model had a radio option they all came with AM/FM radios no CD
Mazda did it to there selfs just as they are doing now

MazdaUSA - Wireless Home

go there build any car very very few options i think mazda is going to be the next deawoo well atleast in the U.S.

the only thing mazda really had to their name was the rotary engine, and the double firing chamber motor that got 10X the mileage and power out of the motor that any current motor gets, but who's patent got bought out by an oil company, and now no one even knows about...

my opinion on this whole thing...

the taco is a sexy *** truck that I would love to own, colorado is ugly as all hell and has no hope for being cool and certainly is not more capable than a ranger off the road..

now when comparing those 2 against the ranger.. you CANT... simply because the taco trd and colorado z71 are actually more than DOUBLE what a brand new FX4 costs... as far as interior I belive my level 2 interior is far superior to the taco and the colorado should be compared to a base model russian car, Ive seen and driven all three trucks so Im not speaking out of my *** like some people are.

and lastly WHY WHY WHY are people comparing a pos chevy colordado?? those are only in existance becuase there are many people who have really thick heads and are overly brand loyal to chevy and to them nothing is better than chevy... I know too many of these people.

put a tacoma TRD price tag on a ranger and see what you get

if you want more power from your truck

If you want a lot of power out of the ranger just drop a 351W, however i wish it was an option from the factory for the newer rangers

My ranger fits my needs. I get about 21 or 22 miles to the gallon and thats good for going to and from college. When I've needed 4 wheel drive its performed. I own a 77 f150 and a 77 f250, so i have bigger trucks for when I need them.

My truck is reliable, and its paid for, Ford can do what they want, I'll hang on to my ranger. Everyone else can do what they want.

I got to throw the BS flag on the 21 -22 MPG, I think most here would agree 17 out of a 4.0 4x4 is a gift. (oh BTW I had almost the exact truck from 14 miles to 80K miles) and once and only once I got 20 MPG and that was doing 60 for 200 miles in one trip and no stops on a two lane road.

Well I didn't believe it at first either, I've tested it over and over. I keep getting 20 and over. Maybe my calculation is off, cause i prolly overfill the tank a bit or something.

BUT, i get terrible mileage on the interstate and in town. This is when I drive 60 mile an hour highways with lots of hills. So that may help it.

EDIT: And you didn't have the exact truck. You had a truck with the same options. Not every truck is the same.

That's not hard to believe at all. My buddys 96 Explorer 4.0 4x4 gets 20mpg easy

my truck, 07 fx4 Lvl II, (4.oL 5 speed, 4x4, 4.10 rear end, super cab, 31" tires, i got 18 mph when driving to work, at 150km/h (80-85mph ish) i was 100 km into a tank of gas, gauge showed about 3/4, when i got pulled over doing above named speed, i then slowed down every day, to a speed of around 117, (65?) and waited till the tank was down to 1/4 left, filled it, worked it out (mileage and fuel amount were correct) and it worked out to 19.3mpg

i just did it again, but it came out to 16.3, and i don't think that's right...
