Belt Help

Getting a loud squeak when idling and low rpms; "goes away" above 30mph but engine noise is most likely louder. I replaced the whole idler pulley assembly (pulley, bolt, washer stop) and still have the squeak. I've used belt dressing, wd40, and a candle on the inside, outside, and both sides of the belt but that didn't help a bit. If none of those work does that mean the belt is completely finished? I just ordered a new gatorback and should be here this weekend. The tensioner pulley seems fine, no play and spring seems fine.

Does it sound (pun) like my belt or it the cam synchro? is there anyway to test if cam synchro is toast without taking it out?

probably the cam synchro. My old 3L was extremely loud. I replaced the belt, nothing. checked the tensioner, it was fine. Did the synchro and it was silent. easy to replace too, there is a how-to on here.
