Best race?
What's the fastest thing you've stood toe to toe with? Today I was cruising down a two lane road and an early 90's 5.0 Mustang pulled up next to me, revved and we had at it... And I actually managed to keep up with him! I could tell by the sound of it that the other driver sucked *** on a stick.

edit: ahh i didnt see the "toe to toe" thing. In the case other 3.0 rnagers
I go out of my way to try and get other Rangers to race me and its pretty easy to tell when they have the 4.0 under the hood

Lol...I actually beat a yellow Chevy SSR off a 2 lane on ramp onto an interstate once with a couple of kids who thought they were going to cut in front of me . Thats about it...lol! Besides that, my friend at work who has a 4x2 lowered Sport Trac with Cobra R wheels on it tries to race from a stop, just for fun once in awhile on the way home from a stoplight, but I can always pull away up to about 50MPH which is the speed limit on that road...I'm a law obeying citizen, dammit! Though I'm usually easy on my truck, the local main road is notorious for weekend ricer POS hondas trying to pull a run from a stoplight and I can't resist embarrassing them with a beige pickup...lol! Fortunatley, my wife who is usually riding with me on weekends thinks it's funny too and usually is the one who ags me on. Just simple fun stuff makes me smile.

I was amazed I kept toe to toe with the Stang. No way he was giving that thing all the gas, or maybe it was in really, really bad shape...
And god, I ****ing hate ricer Hondas. I live in Texas and my town is about 50% Mexican (NOT being rasict, it's a statistic) and almost all of them will buy an $800 banged up Civic and then spend $2000 on rims, a massive wing, and stickers that say stupid **** and then saw off their mufflers. I pulled up next to a guy in a Civic labelled a "Civic Type R GT" and he revved at me, so I just waited... When the light turned green he floored it, and I let him get about 100 feet ahead then stomped on the gas and absolutly dusted him, he was probibly going 45 after 100 feet and I passed him going about 65 or 70... My baby 3.0 ain't fast at all but I'll eat up a civic any day.

Try to race like a 97' with the 350. They have more power equalling less ranger (well unless they are lookin in the rear view)

Beat a Dodge Daytona, dunno if it was turbo, halfway through the race his car made a god-awful noise and leaked a fluid everywhere, had to push it to the curb.
Beat a 02'+ Sunfire (0-70kph), kept even with a 92' Olds Cutlass Supreme 3.4L auto (0-100kph). Ehh not bad for a pretty much stock 3.0L, can't wait till I can afford some mods.

once i was driving past a high school track meet.... there was a 100 meter race going on... needless to say, i won... so i kinda beat like 12 people all in the same race... although i did have a rolling start.
