Bilstein Shock differance?

I have the ford racing part number Sold in Pairs

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

and the the Bistein number Sold Individually

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...view=1&N=700+0

Are they the same? If not advantage either way?

Front and rears should be the same price. I don't know why they want close to $80 a piece for the fronts (if those are the fronts in the first link). The first link seems to be some specialty shock because of the ship date they have...seems like a special order item.

The ones I ordered are BE5-2794 for the fronts BE5-2795 for the rears.

I got mine at shokwarehouse.com for $65 a piece w/ free shipping ($259.80 for all 4).

Yeah those are what bilstein is calling the HD shock

Ford is calling out These for the FX4 model OEM replacement

M-18124-R FRONT
M-18125-R REAR

Just wondering if anyone know if there is an actual differance between the ford and the bilstein HD or just ford marking up Bilsteins prices

I'm sure Bob can chime in about this.

From what I know, the stock Ford Bilstein's that come with the FX4 LII are not as "heavy duty" as the after market ones which is why the Ford replacements go for $20 a shock vs $70 a shock for the actual Bilsteins.

So after being on hold for 45 minutes with Bilstein I got ahold of someone.
HE said "the ford ones are made to what fords engineers specifications, and the bistein ones are made to our shock experts engineer specifications" At that point I cornered him into which one is better and he Confirmed they are actually differant shock and the Bilstein ones are more heavy duty and will preform better.
