Black Interior, F-Series Battery Mod...

Alrighty, I've been busy lately. First, my interior is now fully flat black, sans the carpet. Sorry for the pictures, did them quick with my phone.

Also installed my OHC and Mustang dome light.

Next is a funny story. Went to my friends shop to get figure out what the hell was wrong with my battery set up. I needed new terminals but the cable wasn't long enough.

Found out that they put the wrong battery in before I bought it. Posts were against the fender, not against the engine bay...Douchers.

So we already had the terminas cut off. So I just said I'll buy the right battery. They didn't have one in stock...and couldn't get one tell the next day. They did, however, have an F-Series battery, that big bastard.

Needless to say, after cutting the sides off my battery tray and a little on the core support, I'm now rolling with the big boys! My truck has never started so quick, lol.

That is a big battery. I tried to fit a bigger one when my battery went bad without mods but could not find an interstate to fit. Can you tell me exactly what you modified on the tray to get it to fit? I can see the core support mod. I would love to have a bigger battery.

when i put my red top in i found out my battery tray was so rusted i stabbed through it with a screwdriver...i then proceeded to rip out as much of it as i could..ended up with just one corner left..and then i made a custom mount out of a piece of angle iron..works good...lol

Cut off both sides of the tray with an impact chisel and grinder. The sides next to the 4x4 thing and the core support.

I got it done for cheap.

Terminals, believe it or not, are the Vatozone special brass ones. lol. $3.19 a piece.

CCA's I'll have to check on.

I also seem to have more power now...Guess the old battery just couldn't give as good a spark.

The difference a battery makes is amazing honestly - not many people seem to realize how important it is..!

A high rating Cold Cranking Amp will make your truck start up way faster.. gives your starter more oomph on the first start up - and of course the extra battery life is handy.. being able to run more without having issues.

Upgrade teh battery, upgrade to a 130A alternator - and your truck is a new machine!

That IS a big battery.

I like your gold terminals, my stockers are getting pretty cooroded, I'll have to swap them out with some of those.

Looks like you need some wire loom on all those aux wires running to the terminals as well. That'll clean it up.
