I've seen a few ideas online of putting a ranger body on a ram1500 chassis. I have an automatic 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4 with a 4.0L. I'm purchasing a rooftop tent for my bedrack which I take on and off. (Buying it to do some overlanding.) Because of this and my tendency to go mudding/get in sticky situations, I was going to get a manual chassis, but ranger/mazdas are super high geared and the best to drive when your environment sucks. Is it possible to get a chassis from a different pickup and put under my body?
Money isn't going to be a huge issue. I'm 16, so no worry about rent and all that good stuff, and I have a great job, 12hour day/making $20 an hour, so if this project is reasonably priced I won't have to take out a loan LOL.
I'm open to any advice/suggestions
33's, new wheels, headache rack which isnt in any of the photos as well as the new prerunner bumper, if no chassis swap, a 4in lift coming soon, new $3,500 transmission too
