Brake caliper hardware kit

I'm doing my brakes this weekend and the guy at napa recommended that I get the caliper hardware kit. Should I or will the hardware I have on there now be ok? What have you guys done?

Heres a link to what he's talking about.

You dont have to have it...

But you should clean it off really good with a stainless steel brush, and lube it up..

If its real rust pitted and the pads are seized on there.. then yes i would say replace them...

Check your boots, if they are torn or cracked, get the kit.

Check the clips, if they are shot/bent, replace them.

I ignored a cracked boot, 6 months later = new caliper.

Your rubber boots will probably clean up and be fine. If not, buy new in the HELP section.

Carquest pads COME with the metal clips. REPLACE THEM, GREASE THEM.
