Icon5 Brush Guard or Fabricated Bumper?

I'm kind of torn here between a fabbed bumper or a brush guard. I'm going to be moving to Montana and want to have proper equipment so that if I hit a deer I don't total my truck. I've been looking heavily and doing my research on the matter however I am still in no stance to make my decision. I want a brush guard because it appears to have more coverage, but a bumper would almost do the same thing and look like 5x cooler. If anybody has done either I'd love to hear your feedback and which brand/model of guard or bumper you went with. I have a 2003 XLT, I've had it for about a month now and I flippin love it.

Welcome to the site. Most brush guards are not as stout as one would think. Most are made for looks and to hold extra lights. If you have the skills and tools I would build your own. I did for my D21.
