Buyers Remorse? (Pics)

Ok here is the story. Yesterday I found a deal on Craigslist for a set of Wheels and Tires for my Ranger. The tires were brand new (4) and so were the wheels (5). The only thing is that the tires are BFG Land Terrain tires (had been sitting in his garage for over a year or so), which are possibly a Wal-Mart, Sam's Club only tire. However the guy told me he bought both tires and wheels from Discount Tire. The tread looks in between the BFG Ruged Trail and BFG A/T TA KO. I went to look at them and when I tried them on my Ranger they looked much better than the stock wheel and a/t tire that was on there. Anyway, I am having second thoughts because I was not really looking for rims, mainly just tires. I was pretty set on purchasing 32" BFG A/T TA KO, then these came up and I ended up getting them. Was this a good deal or a bad deal.

4 BFG Land Terrain Tires 31x10.5r15 (New)
5 Black Steel 15x8 Wheels (New)
4 Chrome Center Caps (New)
Total Price: $530

Sorry for the pics, only had my camera phone.

I like em. I don't think you got robbed or anything. Fair price.

I got a set of 5 rims and 35s for $405, but spent about $200 in gas to go get them.

Buying the BFG AT KO's new would have cost you atleast that much. If your that unhappy with the rims, have you old ones swapped on and sell the black rims.

Id say you got a good deal.

You got a decent tires and brand name wheels already mounted and balanced on rims that all were new for 500, you would be in the hole already if you jusat bought the at's in 32's then have to buy rims and them mount and balance so your looking at 800 right there.

I am not unhappy with the rims, more worried about how well the tires will handle in snow/off road. Can you guys give me any reassurance by looking at the tread? I am just worried since the BFG A/T TA KO are proven and these tires are lesser known.

The Land Terrain tires are factory equipment on many new vehicles today. right now the only one the pops in my mind are Nissan trucks and suv's and toyota trucks and suv's. So no...they are not a costco/wal mart only tire. yes...they do carry this tire though.

I'd say you got a decent deal. You'd be looking at 600 or so for JUST the A/T's. you got wheels on top of that....so...i'd say you got a decent deal.

x2. I just spent $600 on tires for my wifes car. And they weren't anything special, Goodyear Assurance on 17" wheels.

I would not have any buyers remorse for the rims and tires, just the step rails (Ditch em)

I know, the truck was inherited from my great uncle who passed away in January and he was really like my Dad's dad. That is why I haven't taken off the step rails and is probably why I am a little concerned about the purchase of the rims and tires (changing the way the truck was when he had it).

Step rails in the rust belt just help hold salt against the truck causing them to rot quickly. Thats why up here, there the worst thing you can put on a truck.

Im sure he would want you to fix the truck up how you like.

Just like the others I think you got a good deal and the tires look like they should be ok. I would paint the wheel weights black though, they seem to stick out alot.

15x8 rims are a good because you can put some pretty decent sizes tires on them without them popping out and looking funny. just like everyone else said ride those tires until you need new ones

What type of paint to use on those weights? Nail polish? Oh yeah here you go with some tire shine.

Those are the tires I had before my current bfg a/t's and I got them from walmart. They were good tires.
