mine did the same. i had to go to the junkyard to get it only charged me 25 dollars. it wasn't to hard to replace but if you drive your truck to much youll be replacing the compressor too. mine got bad to where i wore out the compressor and it made my belt start squeaking.

and once you put it on bend the hose away from the belt tensioner so it doesn't happen again. i recharged my A/C myself and its doing pretty damn good. i recharged it with a bottle of R134a with compressor oil and 4 bottles of regular r-134a

Did you pull a vacuum on it before hand?

I still need to recharge mine.

yes i had a vacuum. i had to replace the a/c compressor. the switch for my compressor went bad so it would stay engaged. i couldn't get a vacuum before i replaced it.

Whatever u do dont take it to the dealer .I had the same thing happen and their price for a new hose and a recharge was close to 5 hundred bucks, all because the clip wasnt put on right. Well at least I dont feel bad now that I know others had it happen to them. Lifes a *****!
