A/C not staying on
A/C not staying on
Hey guys I recently tried to re-charge my A/C with some frion in a can from the parts store. I got the system to take the whole can and the compressor to kick on but it then shuts off again after a few seconds. It will keep doing this cycle until you turn the A/C off. Do I need more frion? Is it a possible bad pressure switch? Any help would be great especially since the warmer temps are on there way.
The label on the radiator core support shows exactly how much refridgerant your system holds.
To know if your system has a issue or is just low you need A/C gauges to read both the low side and high side.
Your A/C system has a leak if it is leaking fast enough you will be wasting your time wasting your money and as a added bonus your illegally polluting the environment.
If your going to fix your A/C system responsibley the first time. You need a leak detector gauges and a vacuum pump.
