Caliper Slide pin lube....

I guess my last thread went to a different forum. I replaced the pins and bushings last June and used Permtex Synthetic lube. I noticed last week that the brakes felt like they were not operating right. Took the wheels/brakes off down to the rotors and found and the pins were bone dry. Is this going to be an "every six month" thing?
Is there a better lube out there?

Just watched a video on youtube...should of went there first....synthetic lubes do have the affect I was having on the bushing at the end of that bottom side pin. The bushig swells and causes the caliper to not operate properly. He recommends NAPA Sil Glyde (silacone based) lube.

Silicone paste is best for brake parts but its not very easy to find. I think 3M makes it

I went about 47,000 miles on the Rangers oem slide pins and bushings till I started using that synthetic lube. The first 30 years of my history of brake jobs was plain old wheel bearing grease.
Thanks for your info...
