I just acquired a camper shell for my flare side XLT, a truck I've only had a couple months now and am not super familiar with yet. I could kinda muddle my way through this, but I thought I would solicit opinions given my lack of experience with the Ranger.

First question is about the shell color - body color or nah? I've got a red truck and the shell is A.R.E. "Amazon Green". I'm colorblind enough I don't really see the Christmas motif my wife suggested, but just going on the color names it sounds like it is an odd combo to the other 90% of the population that sees what I don't. Given that I'm going to paint or wrap it so I can go any direction with it - go with body color or a contrasting/complementing color? When I'm driving around I don't have to look at this thing and I don't see what most of yall see anyway, so what do you think looks best?

Second - do I leave the bed rails on? It looks like sealing would be better with them on, but then the sides and front of the box aren't level, so maybe it doesn't actually seal so well. And maybe the fiberglass wears better on the rails than on the uneven metal of the box top edge? I don't know. Is there a "proper" way here?

Last - I got the 3rd brake light wired up, but is there a constant power at the rear of the truck somewhere to use with the dome lighting? I got the Mitchell 1 DIY subscription but the wiring diagrams and procedures aren't nearly as detailed and comprehensive as they are on most of the other cars I've dealt with using the Mitchell service and nothing sticks out to me as being located aft. I'd like to avoid having to route and protect a line all the way from the bow if I can. I'm lazy like that.
