Can't get Illegal tint?

I just got back from a local tint place, and they said that every time i get the truck inspected and i'm tinted that they'll check to see if it is llegal. Im not really worried about getting pulled over, but just wether or not it'll pass inspection. Does anyone know if this is true? Also does anyone have a picture of 30 on the sides, i wanted like 15 or 20 but was just wondering. Thanks.

I Know here in Dallas, they check it on the yearly inspection, and if it is to dark, you don't pass till you fix it. A $20 to the severice tech can ussally fix it though.

That's what I love about the military. You can have out-of-state-tags, and they usually don't know their [your state] rules, so you can get away with alot. I had 5% [limo] tint on my both my Ranger's and my SVT Focus and have been pulled over in both and they've never said anything. I lived in Virginia and Marlyland where they had yearly inspections, but since my tags were in Michigan, I didnt have to partake. It was nice.

here is what my inspection guy did:

"your tint is too dark"

"here is your receipt. see you in a year."

p.s. - 20 is now legal in tx, on the side two...

I think it is like 30% up here. And the rear is anything that you want. A buddy of mine got into it when they gave him a ticket for the rear tint being too dark on his mustang. Then I showed him the law and they dropped the ticket. Just need 2 operational side mirrors.

my brother's tint is illegal at like 15 or sumthin close. he got the good stuff that is supposed to stop a .22 cuz the tint is fused with magnesium or some other metal that reflects very nicely.

Just go to a hole in the wall type of place and it should not matter. Or just take extra cash cause I know many inspectors and cash talks

When I got my illegal tint done, I had to pay the guy with cash, and he didnt give me a receipt.

i actually like the look of 30. i was afraid it was a llittle too light. if i tint more it will just give me an excuse to put some backwards facing auxiliaries.
